Hello dear readers and listeners. Welcome to the Texian Space Port for your Sooooul! You have found Ulysses V. Ulysses V is a safe heaven upon this Planet for Kindred Souls. Today dear readers it’s just a quick entry I have for you. Once in a while I like to publish some old stuff. This entry is just a sharing for enjoyment, nothing serious. It’s Sunday and I have been too busy to have the inspiration for some new stuff.
These are three poems I wrote. One is very old and an attempt at a Shakespearean Sonnet. Yes, dear critics it’s not completely in iambic pentameter, still makes sense and anyway it can be compensated by ‘meter’ and intonation. Here it is:
Also I like to express my thoughts in Poetry form for many reasons. It’s the only way it makes sense for example. This entry is inspirational.
Inspiration is when the moment is right, when the pace has been set before you, when you are in tune with the moment. Sounds kind of a lot of hocus pocus. Still practice makes master as they say. Well, not even true. Sometime the moment is right, then you get something like this:
Poetry and Creation is cool. This poem is a, let’s say, a run of the Dash! in style and fashion, in emotion and, is an attempt at eloquence.
The next one is a good example of Modern Poetry in the sense that it is pictorial and architectural, excuse my English. Sometimes I like to build in language.
Poetry for me is the highest Art form on paper, or on stone, or in your word processor, as long as you can read it and it makes sense in any way or form you express it. In Poetry every word counts, every sign counts, every punctuation counts and even if you hit a hard ‘Return’ or an 'Enter' as it is called nowadays, is very important for your expression. So does the physical location of your script as well as its presentation and it’s result upon the ‘Caller’ is primordial to the quality or fluidity of your expression. Poetry is without any rules. It is an open World. Still you should express your Spirit and Soul through it else it is meaningless.
Quotation marks in a are way open brackets. Each individual should have his own ‘marking’ as I call it. It is an expression of your deepest possibilities to be precise in your expression. When I want you to “hear” for example, through my Poetry and writings I use these QMs, the most commonly used ones (“), when I want to speak I use the Australian bracket (‘), the single one. Sometimes with a point within the QMs, sometimes with a (.) after the quotation, sometimes with no point at all! I am not pretending to have mastered this in it’s totality. I don’t think anybody has. It all depends of your Soul.
Also title are a headache. When to completely capitalize or not? To be or not to be? It’s a choice as long as you know what you are doing which is not always the case. Sometimes one opts for just the ‘looks’. That’s usually wrong. Unless you know what you are doing.
Mastery of such subtleties is very Godly and philosophical. Sometimes I use the (:) sign depending on what I am attempting to express. Whether I want to be bold or not, or other reasons, many reasons. The use of QMs is something that will remain ones expression until the end of times. One should use ones own QMs and ones own ‘bracketering’ as I call it. Else you are a dead person.
So I was saying that this next poem is very Modern. It’s not my favorite of Speech. Still once in a while it’s a good to let some hardcore feelings steam out. This one is about Letters and Love. It’s possible! I rarely use brackets, this one though contains quite a few. What do they mean? It is pictorial Poetry basically.
Sometimes one doesn't know what to write down? This is how this next poem called 'Love And Letters' was conceived. It's flesh and blood, revenge and passion, union and reunion. It's Art as an outlet for fuel and war in philosophy and architecture, in science and blood. Especially a lot of blood in this one. It's skull and bones. Read it and taste it, feel it, in science and wisdom?
That’s it for today folks. This has been a long day. Thank you for reading my stuff. I am your Professor of Poetry, the Poet Laureate of the Dimensions wishing a good whatever time of the day it is, from whichever region on this Planet in whatever time zone you are residing in. This entry was written in inspirational mode and will need a few modifications. Mastery of Poetry is something only very few Souls have achieved. It was published just before midnight and will be reworked somewhat when I have time.
_-_-_-_-Appendix of the day-_-_-_-_
This season I have an Appendix of the day. Every Season I like to finish off each entry with something different. Previous Season’s was for example the weather forecast, some witty sentences, a goodbye in style, some great Artists that inspire me. This Season I started off with for example some movies I have been watching lately. Still at this moment I don’t watch so many movies. So I had to change my closure of each entry. I love to announce. Read them and “hear” them. They are my Facebook:
“I love to announce. Read them and ‘hear’ them. My latest entry contains Season 4’s announcements here on Facebook. Previous Seasons were called 'Old junk new junk', 'A Wake up Synopsis' and 'Goodmorning.'. You can read them on my website or simply in Facebook's Notepad. Well, not all of them. Facebook is cool. My entries come straight out of my very own qwerty keyboard. I like to work fast then it makes more sense!
http://www.theemperoroftexas.com/2011/06/season-4s-facebook-announcements-until.html” “I like to make use of Facebook's interface. Facebook is cool. Here's some old stuff from my hard drive. The Internet connects us all. I don't know who said that? I think I did.” “Here's some new stuff coming straight out of the Dash! Having said that, it's not that new. It's copywrited 2010. Written in seconds and, well is still actual for me. Of course it takes some practicing to rhyme as well. You can easily compensate with rhythm and intonation. Today, on this Godly Sunday, I am your Professor of Poetry. Originally posted on my Poetry blog.
